Can I send a copy of my documents or do I need to send an original?
Emailing your legal documents to LLS greatly improves the speed with which we can get your documents scheduled for service. However, if your document has special markings or colors that makes it uniquely original, you may want to mail it to us.

Your documents will be logged in and assigned to one of our team members within 24 hours of receipt.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, LLS accepts all major credit cards including American Express.
Do you serve outside of Des Moines?
Yes! While LLS is headquartered in Des Moines, we serve every county in Iowa!
How do you calculate your rates?
Rates for delivery of legal documents ranges between $55.00 – $175.00 and are determined by:
location, number of people being served, and the priority level selected.
I don’t know where the person to be served is located, can you help?
Yes, LLS offers a service called skip tracing to locate the person you need to have served.
Does LLS advance witness fee checks?
Yes, LLS frequently advances witness fee checks. There is a small charge for advancing funds.
Can LLS act as a receiver of subpoenaed documents?
Yes, LLS is frequently is called upon as the receiver of subpoenaed documents. We will provide a receipt to the person submitting the documents and forward the documents the same day we receive them.
Refund/Cancellation Procedure
Service fees are routinely billed after service has been completed. In the event a pre-payment is required, for jobs cancelled before service has been attempted they will be refunded minus any administrative costs incurred by LLS. Once an attempt has been made, LLS cannot refund any service fees.
Delivery Policy
Service attempts are made in line with the level of service requested. Notarized affidavits of service (testifying to the court that your documents were delivered) are emailed (copy) AND mailed (original) within one week following service. For e-filed cases in Iowa, affidavits will be e-filed by LLS. All other affidavits will be returned to you for filing with your court case.
